IHC Sea Steel’s Pile Upending Tools are a proven, inexpensive method of deploying piles.

Our tools are usually supplied in pairs to maintain a rapid and continuous operation when installing multiple piles. These tools are pre-installed into the pile, when horizontal or vertical, and use a pin acting in shear. When lifting the piles from the horizontal position, the padeye and lift shackle remain in line with the load, thus reducing side loading. Once the pile has been loaded into the subsea support frame the pin, now unloaded, can be removed by either WROV or diver. The Upending Tools are easy to use and have no umbilicals or moving parts.

IHC Sea Steel Pile Upending Tools are currently available to suit 24” to 96” diameter piles. We are able to develop tools for specific client requirements.
