Pile Upending Tools

IHC Sea Steel’s Pile Upending tools are a proven, inexpensive method of deploying piles.

Our Pile Upending Tools are usually supplied in pairs to maintain a rapid and continuous crane operation when installing multiple piles. Pile Upending tools are pre-installed into the pile and use a pin acting in shear, not in bending. When lifting the piles from the horizontal position, the padeye and lift shackle remain in line with the load, thus reducing side loading. Once the pile has been loaded into the FAST FRAME the pin, now unloaded, can be removed by either WROV or diver. The Upending Tools are easy to use and have no umbilicals or moving parts.
